Add pen support for Won 8.1 and Win 10. Lesson planning and note taking would be much faster scribbling directly on the app.10 votes
The FAQ, already in the application, addresses this very request directly:
2. My device has a pen. Why can’t I just draw on the screen?
This is a really cool feature idea, but, at least at present, it doesn’t appear to be feasible to implement because of the way text reflows in the application. Doing something as simple as adjusting font size or changing the snap or window size for Gospel Library would cause notes created by a pen to become distorted or out of place. We are, however, working on ideas that will still make the pen a valuable tool for study.
You can try out said experimental pen features with Preview Features enabled in the beta version and Live Pen turned on.
I'd love to be able to find something I've written previously, either in a note or in a notebook.10 votes

An amazing feature that should seriously be considered is a single scripture viewing mode, where the user is able to see one verse appear at a time, rephrase the verse in their own words, have their input saved, and the verse swiped upwards and a new verse appear. Once the chapter is completed, the user's verse summaries are compiled and accessible anytime the user would like to refresh their memory on what they understood occurred within a completed chapter. This may encourage scripture reading, changing it from a daunting task to a rather fun and insightful experience.9 votes
Removed for apparent vote manipulation.
Currently, collections can only include entire books. I think it would be great to be able to add specific talks, book chapters and even import .PDFs (example: talks from BYU Speeches) so a collection so I can find them quickly.8 votes
Highlight the verses from the lesson manuals in the scriptures like in the Android and Apple version.8 votes

Bookmarks should be dynamic. I sound be able to update bookmarks from one location to the next. This doesn't happen with the windows phone app8 votes
either by putting a check mark in just several old bookmarks, or with one click to delete all bookmarks. this is just like emails, you can select one or two emails to be deleted or one click and delete all your emails. i had so many bookmarks, so it took so long.... way too long to delete every bookmark i had.6 votes
We won’t be adding any mass-deletion features into the app. If you find yourself with a large number of bookmarks, you should probably be using the tags feature instead for many of them.
Please, move the bottom menu to the hamburger menu or remove the hamburguer menu and leave the home button only.
Thank you!6 votes
This is not likely to happen because people could not seem to find the languages for the app without it in the hamburger menu.
I really liked the old feature of cycling through random scripture verses. If there is any support to enable it on the home page?6 votes
We were specifically asked to remove the Inspirational Messages feature and so, with version 220.127.116.11, it has been removed completely from the app and will not be returning.
Integrate a way for the ward to upload the weekly program into the app and make it available for all assigned members to their assigned ward.5 votes
A feature like this would require support from LDS.org itself, which is currently unavailable. Such a feature is not possible at present.
If this changes, we will revisit the suggestion.
At Church our internet almost never works. Allow bookmarks and personalized data to be stored locally so it works without internet.
The Windows 10 Gospel Library App works very poorly when there is no internet connection, which is usually the case at Church. Bookmarks and personalized comments should be stored locally so that the app works well without internet connectivity. When connectivity is restored, updated can then propagate to the server and other devices with the same login.5 votes
These features already function without a connection and upload updated annotations when they are reconnected. If you are having issues with this, you’re running into a bug and you’ll need to contact user support.
I find that it would be great to enable some sort of tag, that enables me to later search scriptures or stories that I personally have marked with certain themes or topics and maybe even being able to specify said tag. For example, I could make a tag like pride and being to search everything under that topic, or be able to search inside that tag the examples I have read, warnings, definitions, etc. Oftentimes I can do some sort of search like in the index, but they will many times not have everything that I have found, such as applied parables, etc.

A feature request identical to this one (“support for Tags”) already exists. Please donate your votes to that request.

Please allow us to sync the downloaded libraries across devices. If I download something, on one device, I'm going to most likely want it on my other devices, but I also would like to be able to read one one device, and switch to another device to pick up where I left off.4 votes
This idea has been discussed before and it was determined at the time that this behavior is not ideal for most users, especially users on metered connections—or most people outside of Utah. We have opted instead to provide an option to download “common books” upon first running the app and an easily-accessible download all feature.
One of the challenges with Gospel Library on all format is the limitation of not being able to tag journal notes which results in a disorganized design. This option needs to be presented to lds.org and all platforms.

It would be nice to be able to take an existing highlight and expand it to include more verses/paragraphs. Right now all I can do is delete the current highlight and then create a new one that includes everything.4 votes
This already exists in the application. Simply click and drag or press, hold, and drag your bookmark into the location you’d like it in the bookmarks pane.

The Samoan Hymnbook is already available on Android through the LDS Hymns app - can we get the Samoan hymns added into the Gospel Library app for Windows?3 votes
These different apps use different content sources. As app developers, we do not provide the content, only the app itself. In order for the Samoan hymns (or any other piece of content) to appear in the app, it must be provided to the Gospel Library applications via its content source by the Church’s content team.
In additional to the global search function, provide a local search function which highlights the phrase of interest in the current chapter.3 votes
This feature already exists. While it will not step you through each occurrence, it does highlight each occurrence of the relevant word or words in the text. For example, navigate to Come Follow Me: Aaronic Priesthood >> January >> What are the Roles of the Holy Ghost and type the word “Ghost” into the search box. Note that every instance of the word “Ghost” is now highlighted.
I like in the Android version you can access the notes from the library. How come on the windows version you can't. I use the notes a lot write answers to the questions from the study guided. It would be nice to be able to add new notes just as easy on the Windows version as the Android.3 votes
Closed as duplicate of “Notebooks”.
