Search Results in Order
When I currently search for a word or phases in the scriptures, the results seem to come back in random order. I would like to see the results come back in the order in which they arise in the scriptures. For example, when I search for the word "heal," the results show in the following order:
- Bible Map
- Bible Map
- Bible Map
- Bible Photographs
- 1 Corinthians 12
- 1 Kings 13
- 1 Nephi 11
- 1 Nephi 17
- 1 Peter 2 etc. etc.
What I would like to see is first all the results in the Old Testament (in order), then all the results in the New Testament (again, in order), then all results for the Book of Mormon, then Doctrine and Covenants, and finally Pearl of Great Price. You could even add group headings with the number of results like the following:
Old Testament (10 results)
New Testament (5 results)
Book of Mormon (13 results)
Doctrine & Covenants (1 result)
Pearl of Great Price (0 results)
We have updated our search whenever online. Now we use the search service provided by Church HQ. We cannot influence the order the results come to us as speed has been prioritized at the service level and is outside of our control. However, we can provide the user with the ability to sort and filter those results to their preference. In this latest version we provide that capability. It may not be exactly what you describe but it should be a close enough approximation that if you play with those sorting and filtering options we think you can get what you want.

I would put all 9 votes on this if I could.

The new GLW is powerful, but the alphabetical and numerical order, as the only option for sort is maddening.

Another example:
Currently search results from the Book of Mormon seems to run in alphabetical or ascii-like order instead of sequential. So searching for "priest" turns up results like
Alma 32
Alma 35
Alma 4
Alma 43
...
Ether 14
Helaman 3
Jacob 1
Jarom 1Having these results in the same sequence that they appear in the book would be nice.
