Allow the user to specify the download location for books and other resource material
The Gospel Library downloaded resource materials (books, magazines, talks) can potentially be detrimental to the space left on a critical system startup hard drive. Moreover, users often have alternative storage on other hard drives on a desktop computer or flash drives on a mobile device. Why not provide a simple option that would allow the user to designate the location and folder where the downloaded resources are saved?

Provide links on the home page for the EQ/RS lessons. That option is on the mobile app, but not on the Windows app.
I would lke to see the individual selected lessons for EQ and RS on the home page. That would make studying on the Windows app (laptop and/or desktop PC) much easier.

open hyperlinked references without going to the source
Similar to the Web version and Android/iOS devices wherein when you click the hyperlinked verses or footnotes it doesn't go to the source/book***.
Rather, I hope the content shows/popups along the right side of the screen.
***i.e. clicking 1 Cor 10:13 will NOT direct the page in the same tab to the 1 Corinthians Chapter 10, with verse 13 highlighted.
I seem to remember using it on Win10, but I am now using Win11 and I can't use that feature in the app.

Study Plans (add feature: selectable content)
Currently, you can make a study plan by selecting a book or magazine, for example, Liahona April 2023. I can select a start and finish date and it splits all the talks in that month's Liahona within the selected time frame. The problem is that in that Liahona there are "talks" I want to skip like the "Church Auditing Department", or "Saturday Morning Sessions" (these are blank note taking pages). Add a checklist of all the chapters or "talks" and then have the program reschedule the study plan according to my selected content. Also allowing us to drag and drop…

Manage Highlights
My idea is simple. It will make things easier to deal with and simpler: Add a management tab to the Highlighting feature with a UI of check boxes, rather than individual selection, just like Gmail has to mass delete email threads. You check the desired duplicate Highlights with a Ctrl + Click or checkbox selection then delete. Boom! All of those pesky duplicates gone in less than 15 seconds!

back button
I just updated to 6.4.0.0. The back button (used to go back to whatever page you were on previously) used to be close to the content windows. Now its way in the upper left corner of the window. It seems like a small thing, but it's bothersome to me. I end up using it quite a bit in my studies as I open new resources and then go back to the main page. I think it would be better to have it closer to the content.

Add "copy link" to the share dialog.
For the purpose of quickly getting the URL to a page - add a simple "copy URL" option in the share dialog next to the existing share to onenote or share to mail options.

Please don't automatically sort by last update, not good for organization. Let users move bookmarks to self sort.
Allow users to move bookmarks on the bookmarks panel to a desired location, up or down. This would be much like Windows uses for Office menu items. It would be much better for organization of bookmarks as some of us use multiple bookmarks often but books/chapters always changing positions is confusing and inefficient.

utilize user selected font for italics
When a user selects a font other than the default, anything in italics remains in the default font. It would be nice for all italics to show in the same font as the user selected font.

Fix Syncing of Italic Between Android and Windows Apps
Dear Brother and Sisters,
You guys are doing amazing work that positively impacts members' ability to better study the scriptures and other materials. Thank you!
One small glitch I've found: When I specify some text as italic on my Android app it doesn't show up as italic in Windows. It seems to work the other way around, but not that direction.
Thanks so much!

Keep menu open after highlighting
After I highlight something, the menu disappears and I have to double click on the highlight to get the hamburger menu to come up again. I often highlight and then want to write a note, so it would be nice if the menu stayed up so I don't have to double click again to get it open.

Make the hyperlinks within the footnote's popup box connect to the quoted location.
The current function of the hyperlinks within a footnote will only take you to the talk, article, lesson, etc. It's too many steps to copy and paste the quote into the search bar to find the exact location of the quote. Sometimes the search does not find the quote and I have to do a visual search for the quote. That adds extra time and is frustrating.

Consistent context menu hints when cursor hovers over buttons or menus
With all the buttons, links, and menu options in Gospel Library, we need more consistent labels for identifying screen elements. When hovering over buttons or menu items (for example, with a mouse), the context menu identifies the purpose or label for the feature.
Hints should also appear for dimmed (inactive) buttons or features that are displayed. This also helps users identify the purpose of the feature that is inactive.
Unfortunately, in many cases, no context hint appears for the button, link, or menu item. Please add labels to ALL screen elements (especially buttons, menus, or links that activate features). The…

Allow the user to edit the drop down list for recent searches
In the rush to perform a search, user often misspell a word or search phrase. The problem is that the misspelled term is useless but continues to plaque the list forever. We have used other programs that allow the user to edit the 'recent searches' list. The best implementation we have seen is a small icon next to each item in the dropdown list that allows the user to delete the entry if desired. The feature is pretty innocuous since a deleted entry can added by simply doing another search on the same term.

allow user to set default annotation style
The Windows app seems to vary in each version how it sets the default annotation style. For a while, every time I selected text and start a new note, the default annotation style was red underline. Now, when I start a note, the detault annotation style is white (blank). I think previously, the default style when I started a new note was that it remembered what I did last. That was pretty helpful. I'm not sure why the default note annotation style keeps changing, but could we allow it to be user determined? Maybe based on the notebook? So, what…

Fix behavior when jumping between tabs
This has happened to me across multiple versions of the Windows Gospel Library app, so I don't think it's just a temporary bug, but a persistent behavior. When I am looking at content in one tab (whether a specific verse in a chapter, or a paragraph in a talk), and then click on a different tab, the first tab seems to temporarily lose it's place before it remembers where it was. When I click back to the original tab (not hitting the back button, but going back to a tab I left open), the content starts at the top of…
