Page numbers in gospel library
Would it be possible to add page numbers to magazines such as the Ensign in Gospel Library? References noted in other places to Magazine articles that include page numbers are often difficult to find when searching the Gospel Library version. If only the reference is given without any content, it is not possible to use the search function.
1 voteAny content which has page numbers to display is displaying page numbers. As we don’t create the content, we don’t have control over what content does have page numbers, but if it has it, it is showing it already.

Please fix the bookmarking tool
About a week ago the bookmarking tool stopped jumping to the verse with the bookmark, instead it goes to the top of the chapter and I need to scroll down to find where the verse was that I left off the day before. This was working just great until recently. Not sure why that feature was taken away.

auto bookmark when screen times out
Somewhere in between the "pin bookmark" and "screen turn off" suggestions, I would like screen to still be able to time out to conserve battery, but open up immediately where I left off without returning to main library. I find that often I'll navigate to a scripture or page in a manual, then listen to the instructor for a few minutes, only to find my phone has timed out and returned the app to the main library screen. It should open back to the last place I was.
3 votesResume to last location is already a feature in the app, but a bug has prevented it from working correctly. We believe we have fixed the issue and have released it in the new Beta version. As such, we will close this as a feature idea so you can have your votes back.

pinned bookmarks
I want to be able to pin a bookmark in order to easily access what I am currently reading without having to navigate through app menus.
1 votePinning bookmarks has been available throughout the entire release of the application, from early beta. Simply open the bookmarks menu, press and hold on a bookmark (or right click on a desktop or laptop), then chose the “Pin Bookmark” option.

Updating bookmarks is already implemented in the application. Simply open the circular menu where you’d like to move the bookmark to, then tap the arrow next to the bookmarks icon, then tap “update.” If you’re on a tablet or desktop, you can simply drag the bookmark from the bookmark’s pane straight into its new spot in the content.

pin items to the start screen!
I want to be able to pin certain books, that I frequently use, to the start screen, for ready and direct access.
3 votesThe ability to pin items to the start screen is already implemented. You can pin a bookmark or a reference to the start screen. You can perform this action from the radial menu in the content or by long pressing/right clicking a bookmark.

add a play all button
This will allow those listening to continue to listen until you stop play in, instead of having to keep going back to search. This benefits those who are listening for hours and those who are driving.
5 votesNew: Continuous play already does this. You can enable it in the media bar.
Old: The “Keep Playing” feature is being worked on as we speak, and is available in the beta version of the app on Windows desktops, laptops, and tablets. It is available on both release and beta versions for the phone, though it is not without its bugs.

Add dates to the changelog
Add dates to the changelog, so we know when last update was installed. This is specifically aimed at the popup that comes up in the windows 8/10 version
1 voteSince we use a date base scheme for versioning, hopefully this won’t be necessary. I return your vote to you.

Add further functionality for non-touch devices
Just like how you can now use the arrow keys to scroll up and down and move to next and previous chapters, tying the back button to the backspace key would be very handy for navigating the backstack.
3 votesWe just implemented the backspace key and the shift+backspace key for keyboard navigation enhancements and released it in the recent v 2.0.2.29 beta. This will eventually roll to production as the beta testing is completed.

highlights coloring
Some of the colors dramatically decrees readability of dark text. Either change color options to be lighter or changed color of highlighted text for better contrast.

Music play back
It would be nice for the windows phone app to be able to play music or have a church music app like in android and ios.
1 voteThis feature already is present in Gospel Library on Windows and Windows Phone. Simply open a hymn or a song in the Children’s Songbook, press the button that looks like a play symbol, then press play.
-
allow a user to go to hymn by number directly
Enter the number in a text box (I.e. 247) without scrolling or jumping
1 voteYou can do this already by entering the number of a hymn in the Search Box. The hymn should be the very first result that appears before you hit enter. You can open it immediately from there.
-
have an enhanced scrolling method
When trying to choose a hymn or find something in a long list (Bible index, etc.) scrolling (with a tab you can hold and drag) to make scrolling faster would be a great help since sliding through hundreds of options can take a lot of time.
1 voteThe “advanced scrolling method” we have implemented is called semantic zoom. Tapping on the numbers, dates, or letters above a section (like “A” in the topical guide, for example), will take you to a jump list to move past all the excess material in your way.
-
Display music notation for the hymns
As an option, it would be nice to have the notes displayed for the hymns and other music, rather than just the lyrics.
32 votesThis feature is now available in Gospel Library for Windows 10, version 4.0.0.0 (and above).
