highlight portion of verse or paragraph, instead the entire section. Sometimes i want just a word, not the whole verse/paragraph.
I would like to be able to highlight just a section (words, or sentences) instead of a whole verse or paragraph.
This feature is already implemented. Simply select the portion of the verse or paragraph you’d like to highlight, summon the radial menu by tapping the (…), and choose your highlight.

@Larry,
The UserVoice admin that is "not even trying" here.
I've sent you an email, too, but I'll reply here so that other users can see the response. The comment you have left on this feature request has nothing to do with the request the user was making. The user was asking for a way to highlight only a word or a few words in the app for marking. This does exist on supported versions of the application. It doesn't exist on older versions of the app, like the legacy Windows Phone application. The issue you're referring to isn't even caused by our application, but by older content that doesn't support annotations everywhere. It's a limitation of the content and of the Annotations Web Service. That said, you'll notice on the release page for the Gospel Library 4, one of the advertised features is the ability to highlight everywhere, even chapter headers and, as luck would have it, bulleted or numbered lists ("All content is now annotatable"). This is because newer content that does support annotations everywhere is in Gospel Library 4 and the annotations web service has been taught how to handle annotations in those locations in the new content.
Gospel Library for Windows (version 2.x) doesn't have access to the newer content and thus cannot mark these unmarkable locations. However, we aren't sitting on our laurels. In the currently available public beta for the upcoming Windows 10 UWP version of Gospel Library, we, too, consume the new content and, as a result, are able to allow users to highlight and otherwise annotate wherever they please. Now, obviously, a beta is a beta. It's not something that everyone will be keen on using. However, if you'd like to use the new application as it undergoes development, you can download it at the link below:

You can also learn more about the beta here:

Thank you for your patience and understanding as our volunteer team dedicates their time and talents to Gospel Library for Windows.

Wow, this admin is infuriating and not even trying. You CANNOT ... with CURRENT version of this application highlight or further modify inside of a paragraph that is some form of "Sub-Bullet." If the sentence or paragraph..... lets say from a lesson manual where I'm spending most of my time on this app... is bulleted, numbered, or in any way indented from a base line body paragraph, you cannot highlight or modify. That make for half to two thirds of lesson manuals.

Ensure that you're on a current, supported version of the app. The current version of the app on phones is 2.16.1.230 on Windows Phone 8.1 or Windows 10 Mobile. Versions 1.17.0.4. and lower on Windows Phone 8 and lower are not supported.

I just tried this, and it doesn't work. It will only highlight the whole verse or paragraph on my phone... I could do this on my Android version, but not on my Win phone...
