    The color pallet for scripture marking is laid out horizontally. Instead, have the color selections laid out vertically, and next to each color box allow the user to input text indicating the subjects they have assigned to those colors.

    For example next to the color box:

    Red : Christ, Atonement, Sacrifice
    Purple: Temples, Priesthood, ordinances
    etc

    The discipline of matching the scripture to the color/subject will increase understanding.
    Perhaps there could be a toggle, to switch between this and the more simple marking app we now have. Once one is selected it should stay till it is changed.
