Review your declined decision
I really think you should reopen the idea: "In additional to the global search function, provide a local search function which highlights the phrase of interest in the current chapter." Then I could vote for it :)
3 votesNot a feature suggestion.
Declined suggestion already exists in the application, in a rough but functional form in version 2.x and in a highly polished form in version 4.×. No further development is planned for version 2.x at this time.

allow images to be available when off line.
When devise is not connected to the internet I have gaps of nothing where icons or images once where. it would be nice if at least the icon images remain when my device is not connected to the internet. It would also be useful if I could choose to retain pictures on my device.

Readjust Highlights
It would be nice to be able to take an existing highlight and expand it to include more verses/paragraphs. Right now all I can do is delete the current highlight and then create a new one that includes everything.

While if it were in our power, we’d love to make this possible, we develop the application, not the content, and this feature requires content-level support. The content is handled by an entirely different group of people. They provide the content for the apps, we can only make available what they make available.

Allow handwritten notes in the scriptures. Much like using a pen on my paper scriptures
This would be great for devices that allow writing on documents
1 voteYour feature request is directly addressed in the FAQ:
2. My device has a pen. Why can’t I just draw on the screen?
This is a really cool feature idea, but, at least at present, it doesn’t appear to be feasible to implement because of the way text reflows in the application. Doing something as simple as adjusting font size or changing the snap or window size for Gospel Library would cause notes created by a pen to become distorted or out of place. We are, however, working on ideas that will still make the pen a valuable tool for study. -
Update the software for windows based operating systems to pull up the topics and highlights saved under note books.
When using the Gospel Library on windows based operating system, it doesn't allow the user to pull up highlights saved to a specific note book like the on-line or mobile app allows.

provide a means to Bookmark the Book of Mormon Pronunciation Guide in the Gospel Library
Provide a means to Book Mark the Pronunciation Guide for the Book of Mormon in the Gospel Library.
1 voteAs app developers, we don’t have any control over this. The content has to support the annotations being added.
The content team (a separate team working inside the Church) is working on major changes to the content that should make this a possibility in the future. The size of this change likely means it will take some time before we see it inside the apps.

Fix repeat notes in the desktop version of the app
Currently I make notes/tags on mobile devices or online and when it is brought into the desktop version the note/tag is repeated over and over 3x to 12x+. Makes it very difficult to use the desktop version of the app.

add the Young Church Service Missionary handbook
Add it under the missionary resources. We are organized like the proselyting missionaries, we should have our resources on the app

Samoan Hymns
The Samoan Hymnbook is already available on Android through the LDS Hymns app - can we get the Samoan hymns added into the Gospel Library app for Windows?
3 votesThese different apps use different content sources. As app developers, we do not provide the content, only the app itself. In order for the Samoan hymns (or any other piece of content) to appear in the app, it must be provided to the Gospel Library applications via its content source by the Church’s content team.

Saludos.

Use tabs
Should incorporate the idea used in applications such as google chrome that allow multiple tabs to be open. Example, have scriptures open on one tab in top left and preach my gospel open in another right next to it.

you need a tab for updates when it does not do it automactically I currently can not get Aug. and Sep. magazines on my device

1 voteThe app updates automatically when the app is launched, when new content is available. Adding in a manual option would cause unnecessary stress on the already unstable content servers.

Make search results from New Testament references appear in "Scriptures" group rather than "Jesus Christ"
When a search is conducted that finds a hit in the New Testament the browser tree to the New Testament branches from "Jesus Christ" rather than from other scriptures. Thereafter if I want to browse to another of the standard works I have to click back to home, then to Scriptures then select the other reference that I seek.
The extra clicks are an inconvenience, and beg the question why the New Testament is thought appropriate to be grouped in the "Jesus Christ" group where the other standard works are not, or hymns or so many others. I don't really…

add similar journal and note functionality as found in the IOS version
The android and IOS versions allow you to keep a journal and general notes, where you can copy and paste from the library and note your thoughts. The note function in the windows version is severally lacking.
